Student support needs are identified during enrolment and a tailored Student Support Plan is developed in collaboration with you (see Policy & Procedures; Support Plan & Form).

Academic & Study Support

  • One-to-one tutorial sessions with your Trainer or Assessor to clarify concepts, work through assignments or review progress.

  • Reasonable adjustments in assessment tasks (extended deadlines, alternate formats, assistive technology) for disabilities, health conditions or injuries.

  • Peer-mentoring “Buddy” program: senior students share study tips, campus insights and moral support.

  • Study skills workshops on time management, research techniques, academic writing and exam preparation.

  • Guidance on academic integrity, referencing styles and plagiarism avoidance.

Career & Employability Services

  • CV and cover-letter workshops to help you craft compelling, professional applications.

  • Interview preparation and mock assessment sessions including industry-specific questions and structured feedback.

  • Networking events and employer showcases, connecting you with potential recruiters and industry panels.

  • Graduate placement referrals via our industry partnerships.

  • One-on-one LinkedIn profile reviews to optimize your professional online presence.

Language, Literacy & Digital Skills

  • LLN screening to identify language, literacy or numeracy gaps, followed by a customized Support Plan.

  • On-site and online LLN workshops and one-to-one tutoring in writing, reading, presentation and numeracy skills.

  • Digital literacy training for our Learning Management System, Microsoft Office, research databases and collaboration tools.

  • Referrals to external language providers (AMES Australia, TAFE NSW ELICOS) for intensive or foundation courses.

  • Study skills coaching on referencing tools, note-taking methods and effective revision strategies.

Personal & Social Wellbeing

  • Confidential counselling referrals (on-campus or via trusted external partners) for stress, anxiety, relationships or other personal matters.

  • Critical incident response plans for family emergencies, serious illness or crisis events.

  • Financial hardship assistance, including guidance on emergency grants, scholarships or payment plans.

  • Cultural and inclusion support, with targeted orientation and ongoing services for Indigenous students and those from diverse backgrounds.

  • Social connection events, study groups and campus activities to build networks and friendships.
