Our security training programs in Victoria use a comprehensive, competency-based assessment approach designed to ensure students are fully prepared for real-world security roles. Assessments are conducted in line with national training standards and industry requirements.

Students are evaluated through a combination of written assessments, practical demonstrations, and simulated workplace scenarios. Written tasks, including quizzes and short-answer questions, assess theoretical knowledge such as legal responsibilities, safety procedures, and security protocols.

Practical assessments require students to demonstrate essential skills such as patrolling premises, managing access control, handling incidents, and responding to emergencies. These tasks are conducted in controlled environments that replicate real workplace conditions.

Role-plays and scenario-based activities are also used to assess decision-making, communication, and conflict resolution skills in realistic situations. In addition, students may be required to complete incident reports and risk assessments to demonstrate their ability to document and respond to security situations effectively.

All assessments must be successfully completed to achieve competency in each unit and to qualify for certification.
