Assessment Methods
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods, including projects incorporating role-plays, case studies and short answer questions. assessment conditions will ensure a simulated workplace environment
Assessment tasks:
- Reflect real life work tasks
- Are required to be performed within industry standard timeframes as specified by assessors in relation to each task
- Are assessed using assessment criteria that relate to the quality of work expected by the industry
- Are performed to industry safety requirements as relevant
- Utilise authentic workplace documentation
- Require students to work with others as part of a team
- Require students to plan and prioritise competing work tasks
- Involve the use of standard, workplace equipment such as computers and software
- Ensure that students are required to consider workplace constraints such as time and budgets
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): If you think that you have already gained the skills and experience for a unit or entire qualification, you can apply for RPL to get recognised as competent for parts or a whole nationally recognised qualification. Not everyone will get credited for their skills and knowledge. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate a reasonable amount of experience in the area their course covers. To complete RII60520 – Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, a total of 12 units must be completed

Entry Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Basic English literacy
- Photo ID (Driver’s Licence or Photo Card)
- To enrol, you should have finished Year 12 in Australia or something equal to it, or have a Certificate IV or a higher-level qualification from an Australian institute
Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent Australian resident or hold a visa that entitles you to work and study in Australia (a student or working holiday visa are unacceptable)
Applicants should have basic knowledge of computer including MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Power Point)
Students are expected to bring their own laptop for the training and assessment, with the Windows 7 operating system or higher
Pre-Training Review- All prospective students (the candidates) are interviewed through Phone or zoom and will have the course explained to them by a Student Services Officer. The purpose of this interview is to ensure the candidate understands the commitment of signing up to the course, entry requirements, course outcomes, and what is expected of the student during their studies with SDG College. The review also aims to identify training needs through questions on previous education or training, relevance of the courses to learner and relevant experience
Attendance: Students must attend all training sessions

Credit Transfer
You may be eligible for Credit Transfer if you are able to demonstrate that you have achieved competency in the same or equivalent unit/s in a Nationally Recognised Training from any Registered Training Organisation. Please read the Credit Transfer Policy and Procedure for more details
